This painting comes from my daily life. Inspired and based on the commercial packaging seen in grocery stores, this piece is about taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the grocery store and finding a moment of peace within it. I took real, reclaimed egg packaging and layered it onto the canvas and used different shades of blue to turn something we usually throw away into something worth keeping. It’s a reminder that even when we feel refrigerated or stuck in a routine, there is still room to grow and create something new.
